 High School Students
- Start planning for your Year 12 pathways in Year 11
- Come to TAFE in Year 12 and enrol in a study pathway leading to a Diploma or Advanced Diploma. This way, you'll have a qualification which will increase your employment prospects, plus your diploma will give you a substantial amount of credit at university, and cut the costs of study.
- Choose to undertake your degree externally and stay in Albany, or go to Perth, or the East Coast - the choice is yours.
OR
- Follow a traditional TEE pathway in Year 11 & 12 then come to TAFE in your 'gap year' and enrol in a part time study pathway, leading to a Diploma or Advanced Diploma to gain advanced standing and reduce your HECs fees!
OR
- Follow a WACE pathway in Year 11 & 12 so you can study a combination of high school subjects and TAFE subjects. By the time you finish Year 12, you''ll have a TAFE Certificate IV, which can get you straight into most universities, so you don't have to do TEE!

"I wanted to do Graphic Design at uni, but my TEE wasn't good enough at the time so I went to Great Southern TAFE. I'm now employed in the graphic design industry and have been promised an apprenticeship. I can do my Diploma through TAFE and, if I want, that will give me credits for uni. The TAFE course was great, with one-on-one learning and real experience in live work situations, and the informal classes make study much easier!"
